Overview

A scrollable directory app showcasing UAE-based entrepreneurs through illustrated portraits, monograms, and animated icons. The project explores how visual identity and storytelling can be integrated into a digital interface to represent individuals and their ventures.

Context

This project is part of a larger app design developed over a sixteen-week period, focusing on creating a visual and interactive directory of entrepreneurs in the UAE. Each profile combines illustration, identity design, and animation to represent both the individual and their company.

Artwork Development

The portrait was developed through sketch exploration and refined into a stylized digital illustration. The goal was to capture recognizable features while maintaining a consistent visual language across the app.

Monogram Design

The monogram was created by transforming the entrepreneur’s initials into a distinctive visual identity. Multiple iterations were explored to achieve balance, readability, and form.

The icon was designed to represent the entrepreneur’s journey and values. Elements such as education, growth, and cultural context were translated into a simplified visual form.

App Design

The final app integrates all design elements — portrait, monogram, and icon — into a cohesive interface. The layout is structured across multiple screens to present information clearly and intuitively.
